Culture at Woods & Woods: Your life is too short to hate your job! That’s why cultivating a healthy, balanced, and fun culture has been crucial at our law firm. You won’t find another firm quite like ours, and it’s the reason our attorneys stay with us. Woods & Woods is committed to redefining the expectations of being a lawyer at a large law firm.
So, what does that look like in practice? For starters, our Senior Attorneys work fewer hours for higher pay than those at comparable firms. We understand you went to law school to earn a nice living, not to spend your life working around the clock.
Work life balance is not just a corporate buzzword at Woods & Woods – it’s a way of life. We offer flexible, hybrid schedules and a 36.5-hour work week with no evenings or weekends required. We also offer generous paid time off to allow you to enjoy life outside of work.
Our culture makes other firms look antiquated. We don’t wear suits and ties to the office or even have a dress code. Walking around our building, you’ll see staff members smiling and laughing with each other. We even have a Fun Committee. The Woods & Woods Fun Committee is responsible for planning activities like our office Field Day, Christmas and birthday parties, trips to wineries, pumpkin patches, baseball games, and more. These events help you get to know your coworkers and their families and blow off steam. Your job shouldn’t be all business. It should also be fun.
Another unique thing about our firm is more than 90% of our staff is made up of women. While we don’t discriminate in hiring, we have more success attracting and retaining women than most law firms. We spend a great deal of time and energy on retaining staff by creating opportunities for growth, listening to concerns through routine surveys, prioritizing comprehensive benefits, and as previously mentioned, leaving time for fun. Thanks to this, we have a very low turnover rate. Meeting our staff, you’ll find many of them have worked for Woods & Woods for five, ten, even twenty years. We are looking for dedicated, organized, and thoughtful Associate Attorneys to join those ranks.
Compensation at Woods & Woods: Associate Attorney pay starts at $70,000 a year and increases quarterly to a cap of $90,000. Associate Attorneys have the opportunity for promotion to a Senior Attorney position based on performance.
If interested, please forward a resume to shatch@woodslawyers.com for consideration.
