Every year during Law Week, which is the first week of May, the Evansville Bar Association sponsors mock trials which are open to all Vanderburgh County high schools. This allows teams of high school students to act as trial lawyers, witnesses, jurors, and other trial personnel to realistically present a case in front of a volunteer attorney "judge." Over 300 students participate in this on an annual basis. The Mock Trials are followed by a lunch hosted by the Evansville legal community where different topics about the justice system are presented and discussed by the students.
